We all live in the same world and share the planet, so it is our duty to care for and share with one another. There is a Chinese saying that goes like this: “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.” For centuries, the greatest thinkers have suggested the same thing—happiness is found in helping others, we all have the power to help and responsible to do it.

Nour El Sherbini was invited by Orouba Misr to open new courts at the Sedra compound. The sponsorship includes providing Nour with new equipment for training to help her achieve her dream to become the youngest world number one squash player.

In December 2013, we announced that we are the new sponsors for Egyptian squash star Nour el- Sherbini for the next two years. Orouba Misr is interested in sports especially in publicizing squash and Rugby in Egypt since it builds courts in Sedra and other projects.

In March 2014, Nour becomes the youngest player ever to reach World Championship final, and first unseeded player for over 20 years.

In April 2016, Nour becomes the youngest and first Egyptian winner of the women’s World Championship

In May 2016, Nour wins 2015/16 “PSA Player of the year” and “Fans’ player of the season” awards

In May 2016, Nour becomes the second youngest women’s world No1 of all time at 20 years 6 months.

“It’s really great to be sponsored by such a huge organization like Orouba. They are really unique in terms of supporting squash and athletes even in their projects. It’s really beautiful to live in a private modern compound with all the sports you need. This sponsorship deal is a dream for any athlete and I am glad to have these guys by my side and I look forward to not letting them down,” Nour said.

“In my opinion squash needs more people like the Orouba Misr company people with the potential to innovate and promote good causes in our lives like sports and squash in particular. I am glad today that this partnership has happened and looking forward to more in the future,” Omar (Nour’s brother) said in a press release.
